2026 VCA Officer & Board Elections

​Nomination Period: August 27 – September 18, 2026 at 11:59 pm EDT
Voting Period: September 28  – October 16, 2026 at 11:59 pm EDT
Nomination Form
Nominee Requirements:
  • All persons who are members of ACA & VCA in good standing are eligible.
  • Ability to participate in meetings, committees, and activities to support the organization.
  • 2 year terms for all Officers and Board members, except for the President-Elect (see below)
  • Person submitting nomination has contacted the nominee and has their approval to submit.
  • Nominee shall submit a biography (150 words) and photograph for the election ballot by Friday September 18th at 11:59pm to be added. Email documents to [email protected]
Officers
1. President-Elect:
  • Nominee is agreeing to commit 6 years serving as an officer of VCA
    • Serving 2 years as President-Elect; 2 years as President; and 2 years as Past-President
  • Nominee will be expected to fulfill various roles during their 6 year commitment
    • President-Elect: Chair of the Training Institute Committee
    • President: Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Will Preside at the Annual Training Institute, and Serve as the official spokesperson for the VCA during their term of office
    • Past-President: Chairperson of the Nominating Committee
2. President: Part of the President-Elect/President/Past-President rotation
3. Past-President: Part of the President-Elect/President/Past-President rotation
4. Vice-President:
  • Serves as part of the Membership Committee
5. Secretary:
  • Responsible for keeping an accurate and permanent written record of the business meetings and the annual training institute proceedings
  • Maintains a current contact list of all VCA members, Officers and Board Members, and Committee members
6. Treasurer:
  • Serves as the financial officer of VCA and is responsible for the custody and disbursement of VCA funds and other assets
  • Legal custodian of the financial records of the VCA
  • Chairperson of the Financial Committee
Board Members
Members-at-Large (9):
  • Serve as chairpersons or members in the various standing VCA committees
  • Attend and participate in the Annual Training Institute
