VCA membership is open to individuals who are involved in the corrections profession or a related field, support the goals of improving the profession, subscribes to the ACA’s and the VCA’s Constitution and Bylaws, and who pays annual dues, unless the person is a Life Member.

Founded in 1979, the Virginia Correctional Association is a Dual Membership Chapter of the American Correctional Association, the premier national association representing the corrections profession.
